Please find below Italy Tourist Visa requirements
1) Passport Issued within the previous 10 years. At least has validity of 06 months after intended stay. has at 03 blank pages in passport.
2) Visa application form & 02 Photograph ( 35 x 45 mm, white background, 80% face size, matt finish)
3) Checklist
4) Covering letter (Name of applicant and other members traveling. Passport Number, Designation Travel dates, itinerary and duration of stay. Who is going to bear the expenses, Purpose of the visit. )
5) Leave Sanction letter from Employer
6) a) Confirmed hotel reservation covering travel dates. If the applicant is travelling to any other Schengen countries also apart from Italy, then hotel booking for the same is required.
b)In case of sponsor: Invitation letter from Italy (Lettera d’invito) accompanied by a copy of identification : passport or Identity card for Italian Sponsor. Passport, Identity card and permit of stay for foreigner resident in Italy.
c) In case of groups: Covering letter from Tour operator as per Link with list of passengers booked for a particular package tour with details of Name, Date of Birth and Passport No.
7) a)In case of Minor travelling with any one parent or with a third party: Affidavit from the parent/s stating that he/she has no objection to the travel of the minor. The affidavit has to be notarized and legalized by the competent Home Department of the State of Residence. The parent/s resident in Italy can make a similar selfdeclaration with a copy of his/her stay permit and passport, with the signature authenticated by the Comune.. An alternative option to the above process, parents of the minor can sign a Consent form at the Consulate General of Italy, Mumbai along with a copy of their passports (any govt. photo id with signature). Presence of the parents is mandatory, with original/copy of the minor’s birth certificate.
b)In case of Minor traveling with both the parents: Affidavit of consent is not required, provided that the names of both parents appear on the said minor's passport.
8) Salary slips (in case employed): last 3 months.
9) Personal 3 months Bank Statement in original with Bank stamp and signature
10) ITR acknowledgement for the last three assessment years or form 16A
11) In case of Proprietorship: Original Company bank statement for last two months.
12) Employed : Employment contract / Appointment letter
13) Self Employed / Proprietor : Company registration certificate
14) Retired: 3 months pension statement, proof of income generated by ownership of property or business.
15) Retired: 3 months pension statement, proof of income generated by ownership of property or business.
16) Photocopy (One copy of the front page, one copy of the last page)
17) Photocopies of all previous Schengen Visas. Photocopies of valid US and UK Visas.
18) Covering travel period with coverage of Euros 30000 inclusive of a repatriation clause. Minimum 10 days insurance is mandatory from the travel date.
19) Return flight details or airlines reservation printout. Proof of all internal travel within the Schengen territory including train bookings, car rentals.
Note : Jurisdiction:
Applications from residents of New Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Chandigarh are to be decided by the Embassy of Italy in New Delhi.
Applications from residents of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat, Kerala, Maharashtra, Daman and Diu, Dadra, Nagar Haveli, Lakshadweep, Pondicherry are to be decided by the Consulate of Italy in Mumbai.
Applications from residents of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Puducherry are to be decided by the Consulate of Italy in Bangalore.
Applications from residents of the States of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Orissa, Tripura, Sikkim and West Bengal, the Union Territory of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Nepal are to be decided by the Consulate of Italy in Kolkata.
The place of issue of a passport or the permanent residence mentioned in the passport do not determine the jurisdiction. The place where an applicant has been residing for the past 6 months determines whether they belong to a specific jurisdiction. Applicants shall provide a proof of residence in a specific jurisdiction when applying for a visa. Please, note that visa applications cannot be processed from applicants (including Indian nationals) not permanently residing in India. Those visiting India and wishing to go to Italy from India - even on their way back to their country of residence - need to apply for their Schengen visa before departing from the relevant Consulate of their country of residence.
